Reclaim Your Time This February
After what feels like 100 days of January, we are finally into February, the shortest month of the year. I love February, but I hate feeling like I’m always on a time crunch to get stuff done because it’s such a short month. That’s why I’ve put together a quick list of time-saving tools everyone can use to get back a few hours this month. I hope you find them helpful!
Wake Up Earlier—I know this one is easier said than done, but you would be amazed how much more you can get done in the day if you just wake up one or even two hours earlier than you usually do.
Create A Routine—I don’t know about you, but I get side-tracked pretty easily. One thing that helps keep me on task is a consistent routine. Once you get into the habit of doing your daily routine, completing it will become easier.
Do Tasks In Difficulty Order—Some tasks take five minutes and some tasks take five hours. But sometimes when we have too many tasks, we do none of them. Next time you have a lot to do, make a list and put the tasks in difficulty order. Do the easy tasks first, which will give you the sense of accomplishment and motivation you need to take on the more difficult tasks.
Plan Breaks—Sure, you may be trying to get a lot done in a short amount of time, but studies show that people who give themselves a mental break every few hours are actually more productive than those who don’t. And when you’re more productive, you finish tasks faster and thus have more time to spend on the things you want to do.
Delegate When Necessary—You can’t do everything yourself. Whether you’re at home or at work, make sure you’re asking for help when you need it and even delegating tasks to those around you willing to assist.
There you have it. I hope these time saving tips help you reclaim some time in February and make the most out of this short month.
