Fall For Something New This Fall
With summer wrapping up and Autumn coming up quickly I was looking for new and exciting ways to celebrate the new season. Since I already did the research, I figured I’d share some of my favorite ideas with you in case you’re looking for a little spice in your social calendar this pumpkin spice season.
Visit A Farmers Market—September is the start of fall fruits and vegetables like squash and apples. Take advantage of all the fresh produce available at your local farmers market to cook a Fall-tastic dinner with items like squash soup, roasted chestnuts and apple pie.
Attend A Sporting Event—With sports like football, field hockey and soccer all starting there’s no better season to attend a sporting event with the family. And don’t stress out trying to find a professional sporting event, sometimes you’ll have the most fun rooting for the local high school home team.
Roast Marshmallows—Some people think s’mores are only for summer, but I argue that nothing’s more fun than roasting marshmallows and making s’mores over a bonfire on a crisp fall evening.
Take Your Family Holiday Photo—I know September sounds a little early to take Holiday photos. But think about it, October and November are usually super busy and sometimes it’s hard to get the family coordinated that close to the holidays. But if you get it done early in September, you don’t have to stress about it and you have plenty of time to get cards printed.
Prep Your Household For Winter—Holiday photos aren’t the only thing you can get done early in September. Check ‘prepping for winter’ off your to-do list early this year so you can enjoy all the end-of-year holidays without all the stress.
Hope this list helps you make the most of September this year. Some of them look so fun I know I’ll be doing a couple more than once.
