Delicious Drinks To Keep You Warm This November

With a slight chill in the air and the leaves changing colors, it’s safe to say fall is here again. Grab your cozy sweater, curl up with a good book and grab your favorite mug, I’ve got some hot drink recipes to help you celebrate the season.

Warm Apple Cider

  • 1 (64 fluid ounce) bottle apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

In a slow cooker, combine apple cider and cinnamon sticks. Wrap allspice and cloves in a small piece of cheesecloth, and add to pot. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat, and keep warm.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

  • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) brewed espresso

Brew your espresso. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, whisk together the pumpkin, vanilla, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and milk. Warm over medium heat, whisking constantly, until hot and frothy. Do not bring to a boil. Pour the espresso into a mug and pour the pumpkin spiced milk over it.

Chai Tea Latte

  • 2 bags black tea
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 5 tablespoons sweetened condensed mild

Bring 5-6 cups water to a boil with tea bags. Stir in the spices and turn the heat down to low. When you are ready to serve add 1 to ½ tablespoons sweetened condensed milk to each cup. Pour in the hot tea and stir to dissolve milk. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
